Ingredients to make Kheeranand Rajasthani Dessert

  • 2 cup full cream milk
  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 4-5 strings saffron

How to make Kheeranand Rajasthani Dessert

  1. Boil the milk.
  2. Add the washed rice in the milk.
  3. Stir continuously with a spoon.
  4. After 20 minutes add rasins and 1/2 almonds.
  5. Stir continuously so that the dry fruits don't stick to the bottom and turn the flame on low.
  6. Add sugar and 1/8 tspn cardamom powder after 10 minutes and stir.
  7. When the rice absorbs the milk completely then switch off the gas.
  8. Garnish with almonds and saffron and serve in a bowl.

My Tip:

Always cook this in a heavy bottom vessel and on a low flame.
