Cake pops are easy to make and kids will really enjoy this..this is a special way to surprise ur kids.My kids loved this soooo much..U can make this with store bought cake or we can make our own cake.I made my own cake for this.

Cake Pops

Ingredients to make Cake Pops

  • For Cake:
  • 2c all purpose flour
  • 2c Powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs room temp
  • 1/2c butter room temp
  • 1/2c Milk
  • 1tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 or 3 Drops red color(optional)
  • For Mixing and Covering:
  • 1sachet Dreamwhip powder
  • 1/2c Cold Milk
  • 1/2tsp Vanilla essence
  • 150g Dark cooking Chocolate
  • 150g White cooking chocolate
  • sugar sprinkle to decorate
  • Tooth picks to insert into the balls

How to make Cake Pops

  1. Beat the butter and sugar till creamy. Add eggs gradually, beat well. Add the vanilla essence,mix well. Now add the sifted flour and baking powder mixture to this slowly and folding well.
  2. Divide this mixture into two portions.In one half add few drops of red color and mix well. In another half add sifted cocoa powder, mix well.
  3. Grease 2 cake tins and pour the batters into it. Bake the cakes at 175 degree C for 30 to 35 mins or till the tester comes out clean. Cool the cakes well.
  4. Crush both cakes with hand and keep in 2 bowls. Beat the dreamwhip powder with cold milk and vanilla essence till fluffy.
  5. Add half of the cream to the pink cake crumbs and half of the cream to the chocolate cake crumbs. Mix the cream well with the cake crumbs. Now make small-smooth lime sized balls from this mixture. Freeze for 1 hours
  6. Melt the chocolates in 2 bowls. Take out the cake balls. Take each toothpicks dip slightly in the melted chocolate and insert it to the cake ball.
  7. Freeze for 15 mins. After 15 min take out the balls and dip each balls in melted chocolates.
  8. As soon as u dip in the chocolate put the sprinkles suddenly before the chocolate sets. Refrigerate for 15 mins. Enjoy the cake pops...

My Tip:

If too thick add little milk while mixing.
