Soak the kambhu/bajra for a minimum of 3-4 hours for easy cooking. (You can also quickly soak it in hot water for 2 hours prior to cooking.)
Wash the soaked bajra well a minimum of 3 to 4 times. In a pressure cooker, take 4 cups of water, let it come to a boil, then add in salt and the washed bajra to it.
Bring this to a boil again, now close it with the pressure cooker lid. Put the whistle on and pressure cook it for 4-5 whistles.
By this time the bajra will be soft and cooked, it will also have absorbed the water.
Serve it warm with your regular sambhar/rasam and curd.
