Cheese paav bhaji

Ingredients to make Cheese paav bhaji

  • cauliflower-1/2 cup
  • cabbage-1/2 cup
  • potatoes-1 cup
  • Green peas-1/2 cup
  • bottle gourd-1/2 cup
  • carrots-1/4 cup
  • capsicum-1/2 cup
  • onions-1 cup
  • tomatoes-1 cup
  • ginger garlic and green chilli paste-1 tbsp
  • Cheese-1 cup
  • turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder-1 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala-2 tsp
  • lemon juice-1 sp
  • salt
  • coriander for garnishing
  • butter-1 tbsp and more to serve
  • Paav/Bread
  • onion slices
  • lemon wedges

How to make Cheese paav bhaji

  1. Boil all the vegetables (potatoes,peas,bottle gourd,cauliflower,cabbage,carrots)in cooker with a cup of water..Take 3 whistles.
  2. Take butter in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  3. Add finely chopped onions.Saute till they become translucent.
  4. Then add ginger garlic and chilli paste.Saute for 30 seconds.
  5. Add blended tomatoes.Saute till oil releases.
  6. Add turmeric, chilli powder,pav bhaji masala,salt and mix properly.
  7. Now mash all vegetables with a masher and add to this.
  8. Add lemon juice and half cup grated cheese.Reserve half cup to sprinkle on top while serving.
  9. Once you add cheese keep very slow flame and mix.Switch off gas after 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Make a slit in the middle of paav.Roast paav with butter on both sides.
  11. Serve with onion slices and lemon wedges.Sprinkle cheese on bhaji at the time of serving.
