Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1- 1/2 cup Milk fudge (khoya)
  2. 1/4 cup grated cottage cheese
  3. Pinch of soda bicarbonate
  4. 3 tbsp Refined flour (maida)
  5. 1/4 tsp Green cardamom powder
  6. 2 cups sugar
  7. 1 Cup water
  8. Clarified butter (ghee) or refined oil to fry
  9. For Filling:
  10. 50 gm mango puree
  11. 20 gm desiccated coconut
  12. 20 gm milk powder
  13. 40 gm cottage cheese grated
  14. 20 gm condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Grate khoya and mash cottage cheese . Mix the two along with soda bicarbonate, refined flour, green cardamom powder and knead well together to make a soft dough.
  2. Divide into sixteen equal portions and shape into balls.
  3. For filling: Heat a pan, add all the ingredients of filling and cook for few minutes, till it become a soft dough. Let it cool. Divide it into 16 small balls.
  4. Flatten the khoya balls, place the filling on it. Cover it from all sides.
  5. Prepare sugar syrup of one string . Clear the syrup by removing the scum, if any.
  6. Heat ghee/oil in a pan. The oil should be enough to immerse the balls well. Add the balls and deep fry on low heat till golden brown in colour.
  7. Drain and set aside for 3-4 minutes. Soak in the hot sugar syrup for at least half an hour before serving.
