Chickpeas makhmali kabab is inspired by dahi k kabab. This appetizer can make you a star in your parties. This kabab has a crispy texture from outside and mouthmelting taste from inside. It can be served as a starter or snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpeas 1 cup
  2. Boiled potato 2
  3. Fresh mint leaves chooped 2 spoon
  4. Fresh coriander chopped 2 spoon
  5. Ginger and green chilli paste 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  7. Chat masala 1/2 tspn
  8. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Kashmiri mirch powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Salt according to your taste
  11. Oil for Deep frying
  12. For stuffing
  13. Hung curd 50 gm
  14. Cottage cheese 50 gm
  15. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the chickpeas in water for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Drain and pressure cook the chickpeas with enough water and salt till they are thoroughly boiled.
  3. Let the pressure settle down in the cooker.
  4. Drain the boiled chickpeas now.
  5. Take a large bowl add the chickpeas and mash them with a wooden spoon.
  6. Add mashed potato .
  7. Add chooped fresh mint leaves.
  8. Add ginger , green chilli paste.
  9. Add fresh chopped coriander.
  10. Add chat masala ,garam masala .
  11. Add black pepper powder , Kashmiri mirch and salt .
  12. Mix it very well with your hands .
  13. For stuffing take another bowl .
  14. Add hung curd and grated paneer in it.
  15. Add black pepper powder and salt.
  16. Mix it very gently.
  17. Heat some oil in a pan for deep frying kababs.
  18. Now make kababs.
  19. Grease your hand with some oil .
  20. Take a small portion of chickpeace mixture . Flat it on your palm.
  21. Now fill some hung curd mixture in it.
  22. Roll out in a kabab shape.
  23. Ready all the kabab with same method.
  24. Put 2 or 3 kabab in low medium hot oil at a time.
  25. Stir occasionally .Fry till becomes golden browns from all sides.
  26. Once done then drain the kababs on kitchen napkin to remove excess oil.
  27. Serve these kababs with onion mint salad n mint yogurt chutney.
