Ingredients to make Rajeshthani Dal Dhokli

  • 1 cup tuvar dal soaked
  • salt to taste
  • water
  • Ingredients for tadka....
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1Tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric Powder
  • 2 greenchilli chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp redchlii powder
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • Ingredients for Dhokli...
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp besan
  • 1/4 tbsp ajwain
  • salt
  • water

How to make Rajeshthani Dal Dhokli

  1. In cooker take water add tuvar dal ,salt and cook till two Whistles and switch off the gas
  2. In mixing bowl take wheat flour add besan, ajwain ,salt and water and knead soft dough like roti dough
  3. Divied ready dough in equal portion and roll like roti and cut in small small pieces
  4. Bowl water in vessel and add pieces of roti and cook till pieces become light and float on the surface of water
  5. In tadka pan take heat ghee add cumin seeds, tuermaric powder, curry leaves ,hing , green chilli, coriander Powder,red chilli Powder and tomato and cook till tomato is cooked nicely .
  6. Open cooker and mix tadka in cooked dal and mix well
  7. Now add Cooked dhokli in ready dal and mix well and cook for another five minutes
  8. Add coriander leaves and serve

My Tip:

You can use moong dal and leftover dal also
