Romancing cheela rolls recipe is very healthy and quick to make for Breakfast as well as for Brunch.To make it more healthy and attractive I have tried to do some innovation of my own,for cheela batter i have used instant veggie oats ,gram flour,rice flour,fine semolina. Cheese ,egg ,chopped tomatoes and onions have been used as a topping for Romancing cheela rolls, beautiful and attractive looks of these cheela rolls gives us a romantic feeling.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For cheela batter-
  2. Gram flour 1 cup
  3. Insant veggie masaala oats 1/2 cup
  4. Rice flour 1/4 Cup
  5. Fine semolina 1/4 cup
  6. Finely Chopped onion 1 number
  7. Finely chopped deseeded tomatoes 1 number
  8. Chopped coriander leaves as requirement
  9. Finely chopped deseeded green chillies 2-3 numbers
  10. Oil 1 tablespoon
  11. salt as per taste
  12. Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon or as per taste
  13. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Asafoetida 1 pinch
  15. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  16. Water 2 cups or as per requirement for making dosa batter type consistency
  17. Oil for cooking cheela as per requirement
  18. For cheela stuffing-
  19. Tomato sauce 1 tablespoon or as per taste
  20. Whipped egg 1 number
  21. Chopped tomatoes as per requirement
  22. Chopped onions as per requirement
  23. Chopped coriander leaves as per requirement
  24. Chaatmasala 2 pinch for 1 cheela
  25. Red chilli powder 2 pinch
  26. Salt 1 pinch or as per taste
  27. Grated cheese as per requirement or taste
  28. At the time of serving or plating-
  29. Chopped tomatoes few
  30. Chopped onions few
  31. Chopped coriander leaves few
  32. Chaat masala 1 pinch
  33. Grated cheese as per requirement
  34. Tomato sauce as per requirement


  1. Take a deep bowl add in chopped onions ,chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves ,chopped green chillies , red chilli powder
  2. Add salt to taste,turmeric powder and Squeeze in lemon juice
  3. Add in 1 tablespoon oil ,gram flour, instant masala veggie oats ,fine semolina ,4 tablespoon rice flour,a pinch of asafoetida
  4. Add 2 cup water or as per required and mix with a whisker to make cheela batter,its consistency should be like dosa batter.
  5. Let the cheela batter rest for 6-7 minutes.
  6. Heat nonstick tava on stove and grease it with 1 teaspoon of oil
  7. pour 2 laddle spoon of cheela batter on greased nonstick tava and spread it with the help of spoon.
  8. Cover and cook for 1 minute on medium flame.
  9. Open the lid and Spread some tomato sauce.
  10. Pour whipped egg and add some chopped onions and tomatoes and chopped coriander leaves.
  11. Grate some cheese as per your taste over whipped egg and add pinch of chaatmasala and red chilli powder.
  12. When cheese starts melting open the lid Your Romancing cheela is ready to make rolls
  13. When cheela is ready, cut it into strips of 4 inches width you will get 4-5 number of strips from one cheela.
  14. Roll each strip carefully and keep it on a serving plate ,if you are unable to roll properly you can use toothpick for making rolls
  15. Now fill these small cheela rolls with chopped tomatoes (deseeded),chopped onions,chopped coriander leaves,and top it with some grated cheese,spread some chilli powder,pinch of chaat masala,at the end squeeze some tomato sauce on Romancing cheesy cheela rolls.
  16. Now your yummy Romancing cheesy cheela rolls are ready to serve .
  17. In a same way you can ready 5-6 remaining Romancing cheesy cheela rolls from this batter.
