ABOUT Stuff vitla khandvi RECIPE

Khandvi word comes and 1st thing that comes in mind is gujarat. This dish do come from state of gujarat. Its made with besan and buttermilk and other regular spices. Simple it looks but its bit tricky. Once you get over it you can make this no time.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Besan 1 cup
  2. buttermilk 3 cups
  3. Chopped coriander 1 cup
  4. Chopped mint leavs few
  5. Chopped adrak and mirchi 1 spoon
  6. Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
  7. Grated beetroot 2 to 3 tbspoons
  8. Grated paneer 1 spoon
  9. Roasted til as required
  10. Roasted and crushed peanuts 1 tbsp
  11. curry leaves few
  12. Chilly powder 1 tspoon
  13. salt as per taste
  14. Lemon Juice 1 Spoon
  15. Crushed puris n sev as required
  16. Chaat masala

Instructions

  1. Take one big bowl add in besan, buttermilk,salt, chilly powder, adrak and chilly ,coriander leaves,haldi,mint leaves and blend with blender.
  2. Now heat pan add in batter and keep stiring till batter starts leaving the pan.
  3. Grease the plate and spread the batter over it as thin as possible.
  4. Take another bowl take grated coconut,beetroot, peanuts,coriander, salt , chaat masala and lemon and mix gently.
  5. Now take 1 spoon oil in pan , heat and add rai, curry leavs,chopped green chilly and til and pour it over batter and now spread the mixture and and roll the khandvi.
  6. Arrage in serving plate.
  7. Heat oil once done add in rai and til and curry leaves and pour it over the rolled khandvi.
  8. Now drop grated coconut, red chilly powder, crushed puries, sev, coriander and serve it with green chutney.
