Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 gm curd beaten
  2. 3 to 4 tbsp besan
  3. 1 chopped onion
  4. 2 Chopped Green chillies
  5. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cumin seed 1 tsp
  8. Fenugreek seed 1 tsp
  9. Mustard 1 tsp
  10. Coriander seed 1 tsp
  11. Hing a pinch
  12. Dried red chillies 2
  13. For pakoda
  14. 1 cup besan
  15. 1/2 cup water
  16. 4 onion sliced
  17. Turmeric 1/2tsp
  18. Red chillie powder 1 tsp
  19. Salt to taste
  20. A pinch of baking soda


  1. In a mixing bowl combine curd and besan whisk together and add 2 cup water, salt, green chilli and turmeric. Keep aside
  2. In another bowl. Combine all ingredient mentioned for pakoda. Keep aside for 15 min.
  3. Heat oil in pan for frying. On a medium to high heat fry the pakoda of besan mix
  4. Remove and drain.keep aside
  5. In a kadhai heat 2 tbsp oil. Add cumin,fenugreek,coriander seeds and hing
  6. Add chopped onion n fry till golden
  7. Pour in the curd and besan mix . Mix well. Let it boil.
  8. Slow down the flame. Let it cook for 30 min on low flame.
  9. Remove on a serving bowl. Add the pakodas. Let it soak in kadhi.
  10. Heat oil for tadka. Add mustard seeds and dried red chillies.
  11. Pour over the pakoda kadhi
