Ingredients to make Chinese money bags

  • For potlis
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • For stuffing
  • 1 packet boiled noodles
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped spring onions
  • 2 tsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

How to make Chinese money bags

  1. For potlis
  2. Take the flour im wide vessel and add oul.Mix throughly till the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
  3. Add salt and lemon juice.Mix well and knead to a semi stiff dough.Keep aside covered for 30 minutes.
  4. Potli stuffing
  5. Firstly boil the noodles in enough water and keep it aside.
  6. Next heat a tbsp of oil in a pan and add finely chopped green chillies,garlic and ginger.Saute well for some time.
  7. Now add finely chopped onions and saute well.
  8. Now add carrots,beans and cabbage.Saute for a minute.
  9. Now add all the sauces along with the salt and pepper.
  10. Mix everything well and add boiled noodles.
  11. Mix well and add spring onions.
  12. Keep the stuffing aside to cool
  13. Assembling
  14. Take a ball sized dough and roll it into small roti.
  15. Now place the stuffing in the centre and seal the sides pinching in the shape of potlis.
  16. Seal the potlis with the help of spring onion.
  17. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown in colour.
  18. Serve hot with schezuan sauce.
