ABOUT Paneer chilli RECIPE

Indo Chinese food is a delicious mix of flavors from Chinese and Indian cuisine. Paneer chilli is my all time favorite. You can serve as starter or appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Paneer 250 gms (cubed)
  2. Cornflour 2 tbsp
  3. black pepper powder 1 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Soya Sauce 1 Tbsp
  6. Chilli sauce 1 tbsp
  7. Tomato Ketchup 1 Tbsp
  8. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  9. Green chillies sliced 4-5
  10. Onion 1 (square shaped)
  11. Capsicum 1 square shaped
  12. Chopped garlic
  13. chopped ginger

Instructions

  1. Slice the Paneer in cubes. Keep aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add Cornflour, black pepper powder, salt, Soya sauce chilli sauce to the Paneer cubes.
  3. Gently mix without breaking the Paneer cubes.
  4. Heat 2tbsp oil in a frying non stick pan. When the oil is medium hot, place the Paneer cubes in pan.
  5. When the base is slightly cooked, flip over and fry the other side.
  6. Fry them till golden and crisp. You can also deep fry the paneer cubes if you want.
  7. Place the fried paneer in a plate and keep aside.
  8. Now come to the bowl in which we marinated the Paneer cubes, there will be some leftover Cornflour and species, add 2 tbsp water to the bowl.
  9. Mix very well, we will add this corn flour paste to give a glaze of sauce.
  10. Now in another same bowl add Soya sauce, chilli sauce, ketchup, black pepper. Mix all the sauces very well.
  11. In the same pan after we finish frying the paneer. Add the finely chopped ginger garlic and green chillies. Stir
  12. Then add the onions, capsicum. Stir fry till the edges of onion and capsicum get cooked or become light browned.
  13. Add the mixed sauce, salt and sugar. Now add the Cornflour paste in it.
  14. Add the fried paneer cubes and stir with the sauces very well.
  15. You can Garnish with Coriander leaves or spring onions.
  16. Serve Paneer chilli hot.
