This Afghani chicken is really perfect as a starter in parties and get together.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Half kg - Chicken
  2. First Marination
  3. Garlic paste-2 tsp
  4. Ginger paste-1 tsp
  5. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  6. salt as per taste
  7. 2nd Marination
  8. Mustard oil-2 tbsp
  9. Chili powder/Degi mirchi-2 tsp
  10. Hung Curd-2 tbsp
  11. Lemon juice-1 tsp
  12. Garam masala-1 tsp
  13. salt as per taste
  14. For Garnishing 2 to 3 thinly round sliced onions

Instructions

  1. Firstly wash the chicken properly.
  2. Slit the chicken properly by giving small cuts with knife.
  3. For 1st Marination
  4. Take a bowl add chicken in it.
  5. Add salt,lemon juice and ginger garlic paste in the chicken.
  6. Rub the chicken properly so that the flavors goes in.
  7. Keep it for 20 minutes.
  8. Now after 20 minutes
  9. 2nd Marination
  10. Take another bowl add mustard oil and chili powder in it and stir it.
  11. Now add hung curd,garam masala ,salt and lemon juice also.
  12. Add chicken pieces and rub the masala again very properly with your hands.
  13. Rub it as you are giving massage to the chicken pieces.
  14. Keep the marinade chicken in the fridge for atleast 4 hours.
  15. Now after 4 hours take the chicken out and again mix it.
  16. Now preheat the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes
  17. In the mean time take the baking tray and cover a foil paper on it.
  18. Spray some oil on the foil paper to avoid sticking of the chicken pieces
  19. Place the coated chicken on the tray.
  20. Take some round sliced onions and dip in the rest of the batter and place it on above and sides of the chicken
  21. Now roast the chicken at 250 degrees celcius for 35 minutes.
  22. After 35 minutes flip the chicken pieces to the other side and bake it for more 20 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius.
  23. After 20 minutes take the chicken out from the oven and serve it with your own choice of chutney or eat it just as it is.
