ABOUT Honey caramel dipped in chocolate RECIPE

These caramel have sweet, soft kisses of vanilla and honey. These caramels are luxuriously soft from inside and little crunchy from outside.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  2. 1/2 cup Honey
  3. 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
  4. 1 cup Heavy Cream
  5. 1/2 salted butter
  6. 200 gms melted chocolate
  7. 1/2 cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with a parchment paper.
  2. In a large pot add honey, sugar and vanilla,. I everything together as best you can with a help of wooden spatula. Turn the heat to the medium - slow, until the sugar has melted. Once the sugar has melted turn the heat on medium and cook untill caramelized and deep amber.
  3. Do not stir the mixture once it starts to boil, instead swirl it around every now and then with pans Handel (this will keep the caramel cooking too fast in one area.
  4. While the caramel is cooking, place the heavy cream in to a small saucepan and to a simmer. As soon as it reaches simmer, switch off the gas.
  5. When the caramel turn deep amber, turn the heat slow and slowly add the bots of butter. Once all the butter adder, stir until it completely dissolved. Add the cream and whisk until smooth.
  6. Turn the heat to medium and cook untill the caramel reaches a temperature of 260 F.
  7. Very carefully pour the caramel on parchment paper and let it cool for 3 hours.
  8. Once completely cool, cut the caramel into the square pieces.
  9. Dip each caramel in to chocolate with the help of fork, then place it on chopped almonds.
