ABOUT Crispy honey turkey RECIPE

Crispy fried turkey coated with a sweetness of honey and tang of orange juice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Skinned turkey on bone cut into medium sized pieces 750 gm
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. Salt 1 to 1 1/2 tbspn
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbspn
  5. egg 2 nos
  6. All purpose flour 250 gm
  7. Vegetable oil to deep fry
  8. Orange juice 1 cup
  9. Freshly ground black pepper powder 1 tspn
  10. Peri peri spice powder 1/2 tspn
  11. Honey 2 tbspn


  1. Wash turkey thoroughly and pressure cook for 10 minutes in water with 1/2 tbspn salt.
  2. Once cooked drain water and keep turkey aside.
  3. Add eggs, ginger garlic paste and rest of the salt to turkey and mix well.
  4. Coat turkey pieces nicely with all purpose flour.
  5. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying
  6. When oil is medium hot add turkey pieces one by one and fry in small batches
  7. Drain and keep aside
  8. In a shallow pan add orange juice and heat it to reduce it to half
  9. Add pepper powder, peri peri spice powder and honey to make a thick sauce
  10. Add fried turkey and quickly coat it with the sauce maintaining the crispness
  11. Serve hot.
