Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken around 6 leg pieces with slit.
  2. Badi elaichi 2
  3. Kashmiri chilly whole 7
  4. Choti elaichi 2
  5. Laung 6
  6. Onion chopped 2
  7. Ginger jullians 1 tbspn
  8. Spring onions chopped 1 small cup
  9. Kesar few strands
  10. Red chillie powder 1 1/2 tspn
  11. Dhania powder 1 1/2 tspn
  12. salt as per taste
  13. Kaju/ almond whatever u have at home soaked in water 15 pcs.
  14. Curd 1 cup
  15. Lemon juice 1 tbspn
  16. Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbspn
  17. Oil 2 tbspn


  1. Make slit in chicken. Make puree of kaju n curd. I don't have almonds so I used kaju. If you have almonds you use almond.
  2. Heat 2 tbspn oil. When hot add jeera, badi elaichi, choti elaichi, red chilly, laung. When sizzles add chopped onion.
  3. Cook it until light brown. Then add ginger jullians and chopped spring onion.
  4. Cook this for 7 mins. Then add chicken pieces along with dhania powder, red chilly powder, salt n few strands of kesar.
  5. Mix it. Cover n cook for 3 mins.
  6. Then add the kaju n curd mixture.
  7. Now cover it n let it cool until chicken become tender. I cooked for 35 mins.
  8. When done garnish with coriander leaves and put lemon juice.
  9. It goes good with roti or naan.
