ABOUT Honey Pooris... RECIPE

Scintillating pooris !!!!! These are amazingly delicious as well as healthy with all the goodness of honey poured into them. My innovative take on this super duper natural goodness packed with so much of nutritive value. Melt in mouth pooris are not only a delectable wonder but also look gorgeous. Easy to make with the minimum of pantry staples, these are surely a winner all the way. Kids and adults both will love them and hence a hit recipe by all means.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup (135 gm)
  2. Honey 5 tbsp heaped
  3. Sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  4. Melted butter or ghee 1 tbsp
  5. Oil for frying
  6. Warm milk 1/2 cup


  1. Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  2. Next add in the honey.
  3. Now add milk as required about 1/2 cup and make a smooth dough out of it.
  4. You might need little less or more milk depending upon the quality of the flour. So add it accordingly.
  5. Rest the dough for 20 minutes.
  6. In the meantime, heat enough oil for frying the pooris.
  7. Keep the flame on low.
  8. Oil should be hot.
  9. After 20 minutes, divide the dough into 8 balls.
  10. Roll each of it into a disc, which should not be very thick nor very thin.
  11. Deep fry them on low to medium flame only in enough hot oil.
  12. Serve these amazingly stunning pooris with any jam of choice.
  13. It is a perfect lunch box idea for the kids and also a power packed after school snack.
