It is sweet and easy to make method of modak which is favourite of Ganpati ji.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Semolina 1 cup
  2. Milk 1/2 cup
  3. Clarified butter 3 tablespoons
  4. Green Cardamom powder 2 teaspoon
  5. Condensed milk 160 ml.
  6. Saffron strands soaked in milk 10
  7. Mixed dry fruits chopped 4 tablespoons ( almonds, cashews, pista, fig)


  1. Add ghee in a hot pan when bit melts add semolina. Cook till it becomes light brown.
  2. Now add milk and mix well so that no lumps created. Add soaked saffron strands with milk. Cook for two mintues.
  3. Now add caradamom powder and condensed milk. Stir constantly so that save it from burn.
  4. Cook till it starts leaving pan and form a dough. Stir constantly.
  5. Now remove it in a greased plate. And when it is cool. Mash it with the help of ghee.
  6. And divide it into 20 equal portions and and stuff with chopped dry and make the shape of modak. You can also use modak mould for this.
  7. Leave it in air for some time and after that can keep these in fridge for one weak.
  8. Your modak are ready.
