ABOUT Brown Bread and Brown Bread Egg Sandwich RECIPE

The bread to be baked first followed by a brilliant stuffing of eggs insode the toasted slices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the bread :
  2. 2 cups wheat flour
  3. 1 tsp Salt
  4. 3 tsp sugar
  5. 2 and half cups Water
  6. 3 tbsp Oil / Butter
  7. 1 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  8. For the Sandwich :
  9. Boiled Eggs
  10. Onion - 1
  11. Tomato - 1
  12. Chilli flakes and some seasoning
  13. Sauce - ketchup


  1. For the Bread :
  2. Heat the water. Add sugar and mix. Followed by Yeast and mix. Leave the portion for 15 minutes for the yeast to get activated.
  3. Add in the Oil after 15 minutes and mix well.
  4. Meantime add in salt in the flour, give a mix, and add the flour into the wet portion of yeast and knead for about 20 - 25 minutes.
  5. Grease a pan, place in the ball shaped dough and cover and leave for 45 minutes to 2 hours, until the dough doubles in size.
  6. After which, take out the dough, and spread it on a flat surface, by your palm and knead again.
  7. Grease a bread loaf pan, and place the dough into it and cover and leave for further more 45 minutes - 2 hours
  8. By the end of the time, pre heated the oven and bake the bread at 200 deg C for 20 minutes.
  9. For the Sandwich :
  10. Slice the bread, and toast them on both sides applying butter.
  11. Apply a spoonful of tomato ketchup
  12. And spread the onion - tomato - cooked portion of sauce.. Season the onion and tomato and add in enough salt, and pepper. Fine slit the boiled eggs.
  13. Sprinkle chilli flakes, seasoning.
