ABOUT Kaleji Fry RECIPE

A quintessential dish that is made during Eid, a yummy mutton liver curry to be served with some parathas or pulao.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Mutton kaleji [mutton liver] 1kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chilli powder 1.5 tsp
  5. coriander powder 1tsp
  6. Jeera [cumin] powder 1tsp
  7. Garam masala 1tsp
  8. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Papaya paste 1tbsp
  10. Oil 3 tbsp
  11. Lemon juice 1tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves 1tbsp

Instructions

  1. Marinate for 15 minutes
  2. Heat oil
  3. Add kaleji mixture and cook on slow flame for half an hour
  4. When soft and colour changes to dark brown add lemon juice
  5. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with green coriander chutney
