ABOUT Sweet & Tangy Bitter Gourd RECIPE

A tasty recipe of bitter gourd with a dash of Tamarind and Jaggery.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bitter gourd slices 300 gms
  2. Jaggery 1 tsp
  3. Tamarind pulp 1tsp
  4. 1 onion chopped
  5. 1 TOMATO CHOPPED
  6. Crushed ginger 1/2 tsp
  7. Crushed garlic 1tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1tsp
  9. Coriander powder 1/2tsp
  10. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  11. Salt 1tsp
  12. Coriander leaves to garnish
  13. Oil 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Fry bitter gourd slices with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder, till it slightly change its color
  3. Keep it aside
  4. In the same oil add chopped onion crushed ginger and garlic. Fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes, cook it till it's soft
  6. Now add the tamarind and jagerry along followed by all the powder spices i.e turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder.
  7. Adjust salt according to your taste
  8. When everything mixes well add the fried bitter gourd, and cook for 2 mins.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
