For dal: wash tuar dal( 3-4 cups) , pour it into cooker, add pieces of tomato, jeera, kadi patta, salt, haldi powder, and add 3 cups of water to it. Let it cook until 3 whistles. Open the cooker and take a tadka pan- put ghee into it, add rai, let in crackel, red chilli powder, lemon juice , some sugar and Sambhar masala to it. After a boil pour this tadka into the dal and garnish it with coriander. Your dal is ready.
