ABOUT Mushroom Do Pyaaza Pie RECIPE

A new variation of Mushroom Do Pyaaza in the form of appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 7-8 mushrooms, chopped
  2. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  3. Crushed black pepper
  4. 50 grams cheese
  5. 1 cup maida
  6. 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  7. 2 onions, chopped
  8. 1 tablespoon butter
  9. 1 tablespoon garam masala
  10. 1 tablespoon fresh cream
  11. 1 tablespoon kasuri methi
  12. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  13. Oil as required
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add maida, salt, and butter and rub well.
  2. Knead into a dough using water and drizzle some oil over the dough.
  3. Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and set aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste. Add diced onions and mushrooms to the pan.Let it cook for 4 to 5 min. 
  5. Add salt, crushed black pepper, garam masala, and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  6. In another pan, roast dried kasuri methi. Crush it and sprinkle it over the mushroom mixture.
  7. Grease the pie moulds with some oil. Roll out the kneaded dough and line the pie moulds. Press the dough inside
  8. Bake pie for 15 to 20 min in a pre-heated oven at 180 C. 
  9. In a bowl add cream, salt, pepper, sugar, and oil.
  10. In the pie shells, add a spoonful of the mushroom do pyaaza and pour the cream mixture. 
  11. Grate cheese over the pie. Bake the pie for 5 min in a pre-heated oven at 180 C.
