Mousse cakes are star cakes...but its with a unique combination.A mousse cake with green peas and chocolate and with brownie base...its very different but its soooo yummy....

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. for base
  2. 200g butter
  3. 100g dark chocolate
  4. 1 cup sugar
  5. 2 Eggs
  6. 1tsp Vanilla essence
  7. 1 tsp Baking powder
  8. 3/4 Cup All purpose Flour
  9. 2tbsp cocoa powder
  10. For Mousse
  11. 250g green peas
  12. 200g white chocolate
  13. 240ml heavy cream
  14. 2tsp gelatine powder
  15. Water as needed
  16. Organic green food colour(optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree,line a cake tin with baking paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter with the help of a double boiler,mix the cocoa powder remove from the heat add sugar and mix well.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla essence and beat properly.
  4. Add the flour and baking powder and mix well.
  5. Pour into the tin and bake for 20-25 minute.
  6. Cool the brownie layer completely.
  7. For mousse
  8. Blanch the green peas and make a fine puree.
  9. Combine 80ml cream and white chocolate and melt with the help of a double boiler.
  10. Put the gelatine to the normal water and set aside to let the gelatine absorb the water.
  11. Mix the chocolate and green peas puree and set aside.
  12. Head the gelatine on the double boiler and mix with green peas and chocolate mixture.
  13. Whip the cream and mix with green peas chocolate mixture,add some organic food colour and mix well.
  14. Line the inner wall of a spring form cake tin with baking paper.
  15. Place the brownie on the cake tin.
  16. Pour the mousse over the brownie,spread into an even layer.
  17. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until set.
