ABOUT Besan Butterscotch Barfi RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. 3/4 Cup Besan / Gram Flour
  2. 1/2 cup Khoya
  3. 1/2 cup Butterscotch chips
  4. 2 tbsp Milkmaid
  5. 6 tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter

Instructions

  1. Take a tray and grease with little ghee. Heat a pan or kadai on low flame. Add 2 tbsp ghee and roast besan till nice aroma comes.
  2. Now, add crumbled mawa and stir well.
  3. Mix everything well. Add butterscotch and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. Add milkmaid and mix everything well. Now, add 1 tbsp ghee at a time and cook till ghee separates from the mixture and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  4. Pour this mixture over greased tray and level it properly. Make rectangular square cuts on barfi when it is still hot. Let it come to room temperature and remove those pieces. Store in an airtight container.
