ABOUT Besan /gram flour halwa RECIPE

This is one of the traditional halwa made by my grandmother then mother and now me,this is favorite halwa at my home which is I generally make on Sunday for breakfast as a dessert,it takes very less time and is healthy also as I use jaggery instead of sugar ,and whenever I make this halwa aroma of this halwa spreads in my home,this can be made as prasad also...friends do try this heirloom recipe

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan/gram flour 2cups (it should be little thick one)
  2. 1/2 cup ghee
  3. 3/4 cup jaggery chopped
  4. 1tsp cardmom powder
  5. 2tsp almond chopped
  6. 1tsp pistachio chopped
  7. 1tsp cashewnuts chopped

Instructions

  1. add ghee to nonstick pan
  2. add besan and roast it on slow flame
  3. as the aroma comes out of roasted Besan
  4. add 3/4 cup hot boiling water
  5. mix it vigorously so lumps are not formed
  6. it will become dough like
  7. add jaggery
  8. keep on pressing and mixing the jaggery
  9. let it become dough like
  10. add cardmom powder
  11. add chopped cashewnuts
  12. add almonds
  13. add pistachio
  14. add 1tsp of ghee
  15. serve with love
