ABOUT Millet curd rice RECIPE

The seasoning made of Mormozhaku, jeera and Ajwain is generally used for palaya soru or old rice( rice cooked a day before and soaked in water overnight). It is the best coolant to our body but it is definitely make you sleep. Tried the seasoning on millet for a lite version of curd rice

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Millet 1/2 cup
  2. Curd required
  3. Butter optional
  4. For seasoning Jeera
  5. Hing
  6. Mormozhaku 4 (dried green chillies coated with curd)
  7. Jeera 1/2 TSP
  8. Ajwain 1/2 TSP
  9. Salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse and boil millet with 2 cups of water for 15 minutes
  2. Millets should be cooked completely. Cool the cooked millets
  3. Prepare tadka with oil, mormozhakai, jeera and Ajwain. Don't burn the tadka
  4. Mix tadka, hing and salt with cooked millet
  5. Add curd and little butter to cooked millet
  6. Mix well and serve chilled
