ABOUT Tandoori Hilsha RECIPE

A new type of hilsha preparation which has smokey flavour in it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hilsha fish 4 piece
  2. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Thick yogurt 1 tablespoon
  4. Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Kashmiri Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Chat masala to taste
  8. Black Salt to taste
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Roasted Gram Flour 1 tablespoon
  11. White oil


  1. Marinate the Fish pieces with turmeric and salt.
  2. In a bowl add yogurt, garam masala, red chilli powder, kashmiri Red chilli powder, chat masala, black salt, roasted Gram Flour and make a thik paste.
  3. Add the marinated fishes in the mixture and coat it.
  4. Add white oil in a pan.
  5. Add fish piece for shallow fry.
  6. When they are cooked add a hot charcoal in a small bowl and sprinkle some oil in it and cover the pan for 1 mint.
