Mava Malai Chumchum

Ingredients to make Mava Malai Chumchum

  • Amul gold milk...1 litre
  • lemon juice....1 teaspoon
  • sugar....1 cup
  • water...3 cups
  • Mava....1/2 cup
  • malai...1 teaspoon
  • sugar.....1 teaspoon
  • Elachi powder....1 teaspoon
  • kesar strands...for garnish.

How to make Mava Malai Chumchum

  1. Take heavy bottomed pan. Put milk in it and boil. 2) Add lemon juice. Let it curdle. Strain and wash with water to remove any lemon traces.
  2. Now squeeze to remove all water.
  3. Start kneading it to make a smooth paste.
  4. Make small balls because while cooking it will become double in size.
  5. Take a pan . Put water and sugar. Let it ciik for 5 minutes. Now slowly add balls in it. Cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Let it cool a little. Remove from sugar syrup.
  7. Now cut each ball into two halves carefully.
  8. For filling, cook mava, sugar , malai and ilaichi powder for 2 minutes.
  9. Now take balls. In between two halves put mava mixture.
  10. Garnish with kesar strands.
  11. Yummy dessert is waiting to be relished.

My Tip:

While cutting balls be careful because its very delicate.
