Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Coarse gram flour 1 cup
  2. Milk 1/4 cup
  3. Water to make batter 3/4 cup
  4. Orange food colour a pinch
  5. Melon seeds 2-3 tablespoon
  6. Sugar 1 cup
  7. Water for making syrup 1 cup
  8. Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Lemon juice few drops
  10. Ghee to fry

Instructions

  1. Take gram flour in a bowl
  2. Add milk, water and food colour to make a thick batter
  3. Heat ghee in a kadhai
  4. Once the ghee is hot, put the flame to medium and hold the boondi ladle above the ghee
  5. Pour batter all over the ladle and start tapping the handle of the ladle so that boondi comes out in the ghee
  6. Once the bubbles reduces, remove boondi from ghee and drain in absorbent paper
  7. Repeat the same process for the remaining batter
  8. To make sugar syrup, boil sugar and water until one string consistency
  9. Switch off the flame, add cardamom powder and lemon juice
  10. Add boondi and mix well
  11. Cover with a lid and let it rest for 10 minutes
  12. Add melon seeds
  13. Grease your hand with ghee
  14. Take boondi and make ladoos
