ABOUT Cheesy Samosas RECIPE

Traditional samosas but not with potatoes and with a cheesy twist :)

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the dough:
  2. All purpose flour 2 cups
  3. Oil 5-6 tablespoon
  4. Little ajwain
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Warm water to knead the dough
  7. For the filling:
  8. Capsicums 2
  9. Onion 1
  10. Sweet kernels (boiled) 1/2 cup
  11. Grated broccoli 5 tablespoon
  12. Grated mozzarella cheese 150 grams
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Chilli flakes as per taste
  15. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix all the ingredients, that is all purpose flour, ajwain, salt, oil and knead a dough with warm water.
  2. The dough should not be too hard or too soft, cover it with a wet clothes and keep it aside
  3. For the filling, finely chop capsicum and onion.
  4. Mix the chopped capsicum and onion with grated broccoli, boiled sweet kernels and cheese with the help of a spoon with light hands.
  5. Add salt and spices to the mixture. Your mixture is ready
  6. Now take the dough and make medium sized balls of the dough.
  7. Roll it in round shape like a puri, a little bigger than that.
  8. Cut the rolled Puri into two halves.
  9. Take one half and join the two ends with the help of a little water in a way so that it form a cone shape
  10. Hold it in your hand and fill the mixture in the cone with the help of a spoon or with your finger, in a way that it reaches the ends and you have some space left to close the samosa
  11. Repeat the procedure with all the balls and your samosas are ready.
  12. Put them in a plate and cover with a cling wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for about half an hour so that the cheese gets cold and doesn't come out of the samosa while frying
  13. Take them out in half an hour and heat oil in a deep pan or kadai.
  14. Put the samosas in the oil only when the oil is hot enough
  15. Fry the samosas on medium flame from all the sides
  16. Your samosas are ready. Enjoy it with the sauces of your choice.
