ABOUT MASALA KARELA RECIPE

Tangy Masala karela is combined with aamchur and other spices. It works as side dish and very good goes to any type of pranatha or chappati with dal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg bitter gaurd
  2. 1 1/2 tsp salt
  3. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  4. 1 tsp aamchur
  5. 1tsp coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tsp garam msala
  7. 1/2 tsp haldi
  8. thread
  9. 2tbsp mustard oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and slit all karelas .
  2. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp salt and keep it for 15 minutes. wash again and squeeze them.
  3. In a bowl mix all dry masalas and fill in all karelas equally.
  4. Bind with thread all the karelas.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp musturd oil and shallow fry till dark brown.
