Looking for options to use up the excess condensed milk after Diwali sweets, but bored of the regular ladoos and barfis...check this out. No sugar syrup needed, crunchy and addictive, you cannot stop at one,so make sure you make a lot of these beauties!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Condensed milk 250 gms
  2. All purpose flour/maida 500 gms
  3. 2 Eggs
  4. 1/2 tspn baking soda
  5. 1 tbspn vanilla Essence
  6. 1 tspn salt
  7. 2 tbspn oil for batter
  8. Vinegar 1 tbspn
  9. Oil for Deep frying
  10. 1 tbspn of maple syrup


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed milk, salt , vanilla essence, baking soda, vinegar and mix well
  2. Beat the eggs separately and add to the mix and whisk well till well incorporated
  3. Slowly keep adding the flour but by not to make a soft dough. You need not make a perfect dough
  4. Finally add the oil and gently fold in the dough
  5. Add enough oil for deep frying ready in a wok on medium heat while you start giving the desired shapes to the dough
  6. After making the sticks one by one add them to the hot oil for deep frying
  7. Fry on Low heat till the sticks are golden brown on both sides
  8. They should be crunchy after frying. Let cool on a kitchen tissue
  9. Serve hot or at room temperature by drizzling them with honey/maple syrup/ liquid chocolate syrup. Excellent combination with ice creams too
  10. Store in airtight box
