kachori is one of the versatile dish.There are are variety of ways that can be used to make it.Either sweet or savory it always spread its amazing aroma all around the house while preparation.It is a one if the famous breakfast snack that can be served with any curry like potato or with green chilli or either with sweet tamarind chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For stuffing 3/4 cup urad,hing a pinch
  2. 1/4 cup besan
  3. 1/2 tbsp each of rai cumin fennel
  4. 1tsp each of chilli powder and dhania powder
  5. 1/2tsp each of haldi and garam masala
  6. pinch of amchoor and 2 green chilli for garnish
  7. For outer surface
  8. 1/2 cup maida
  9. 2tbsp ghee/butter melted
  10. water as required

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal for 3-4 hours in enough water.In a pan add 2 tbsp oil
  2. Add herng rai jeera dhania and fennel
  3. Fry till aroma arrives and add dal with little water and allow it to cook
  4. When all the water dries put add the besan and fry on low for 30 sec and add chilli pw,haldi dhania powder and garam masala and cook for 3-4 min
  5. set aside and prepare dough
  6. stuff the dough and make balls.Flatten it with hands like for puri and deep fry.Serve with chilli or curry as per choice
