Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. All purpose flour / maida - 1 cup
  2. Mawa / whole dried milk - 3/4 cup
  3. Sugar - 1 cup
  4. Water - 1 cup
  5. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  7. Crushed cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
  8. Raisins - 2 tbsp
  9. Clarified butter / ghee - 2 tbsp
  10. Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan add mawa / whole dried milk on a medium flame.
  2. When its color change in light brown switch off the gas.
  3. Once cooled,add coconut ,raisins,cashew nuts and cardamom powder.
  4. Now stuffing is ready.
  5. For the covering
  6. Take a bowl mix all purpose flour and clarified butter.
  7. Knead to make a soft and smooth dough with the help of little amount of water.
  8. Keep aside for 15 mins.
  9. Divide the dough into equal size balls and roll out each ball into a round puri.
  10. Stuff the mawa / whole dried filling in it.
  11. And cover with other puri and seal the edges with water and shape it.
  12. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry these chandrakala until golden in colors.
  13. Always cook in medium flame.
  14. Drain extra oil.
  15. For syrup
  16. Now prepare the sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  17. Dip into the sugar syrup for ten mins.
