ABOUT Cabbage roll manchurian RECIPE

A lovely avatar to a tasty evening snack of cabbage roll. Making this Indian dish indo chineese by sauting it in the chineese sauces gives a new taste and look to the humle cabbage. I have already added the cabbage roll receipe to my profile but rewriting the ingredients for your convenience.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the Rolls:
  2. cabbage shredded - 2 cups
  3. capsicum - 1 /2 chopped fine
  4. ginger grated - 1 tsp
  5. pepper powder - 1 tsp
  6. salt to taste
  7. APF - 3 tbsp
  8. cornflour - 1 cup (for coating)
  9. oil for Deep frying
  10. For the dry manchurian:
  11. pepper powder - 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  13. Tomatoe sauce - 1 /2 cup
  14. honey - 1 tbsp (optional)
  15. Green chilli sauce - 2tbsp
  16. ginger - 1 tsp
  17. garlic - 3 tbsp
  18. water - 1/2 cup
  19. cornflour slurry - 1/2 cup
  20. (1 tbsp of cornflour in 1/2 cup water)

Instructions

  1. Blanch the shredded cabbage and boil and grate the potatoe.
  2. Mix all ingredients without any water and bind to form a dough
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying
  4. Pinch small balls of the dough roll on a plate of cornflour and keep all such rolls ready
  5. Now Take a cabbage cigar, roll it again in the flour and deep fry. Drain on a kitchen towel
  6. Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan and start with the tempering
  7. First add chopped garlic. Stir fry to brown it a little. Then goes the ginger
  8. Now add the spice powder and Sauces and saute. Add water and saute further.
  9. Finally add the cabbage rolls and stir, now add the cornflour slurry stir fry to coat the rolls and remove on a plate. Garnish with coriander.
