This is a Bangladeshi recipe.. very rich and spicy with lots of flavors..

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Hilsa fish (ilish mach): 1 piece (750grm)
  2. Onion paste 2 tsp
  3. Green chilli 4 pieces
  4. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  5. Oil 1/2 cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  7. Fried onion 1 cup
  8. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. At first slice the hilsa fish (ilish mach). Now cleanse the slices with water and keep it to drip water.
  2. Now heat oil in a pan, then add onion paste, chili powder, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste and a little bit water. Now saute it for 7 minutes in a medium heat.
  3. Now add the hilsa fish slices and cover the pan with a lid. Cook it for 30 minutes in a low heat. ½  cup hot water can be added.
  4. Now put the cooked hilsa fish on a serving plate and scatter fried onion.
  5. Your hilsa fish korma is ready to serve! Now serve it with pulao (pilaf) or white rice.

The onion and garlic based gravy is just awesome.
