Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Ripe banana 4 Nos.
  2. Apple 1 peeled , cored and grated
  3. Orange juice 3 tbsp
  4. Orange Zest 1 tsp
  5. Wheat flour 1 cup
  6. Sugar 3/4th cup
  7. Soft Butter 1/2 cup
  8. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  9. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Vanilla flavour 1 tsp
  11. Custard powder 1/2 tbsp
  12. Milk 3 tbsp
  13. Cocoa powder 1/4th cup
  14. Honey(optional) 2 tsp
  15. For caramelized apple slices:
  16. Apple 10-12 thin slices
  17. Sugar 2tbsp
  18. Water 1/4th tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe bananas using a fork. Add the grated apple, orange juice and zest and Mix well
  2. Add custard powder to the hot milk and set aside to cool.
  3. Blend butter and sugar well until creamy. Add fruit mixture and mix well
  4. Sieve the dry ingredients and add it to the wet mixture.
  5. Pour the custard milk and vanilla extract and give a stir.
  6. To Caramelize the apple slices: 1. Heat the pan on medium flame pour the sugar and water. Allow it to Caramelize. Don't stir the mixture. 2. Add the apple slices. Coat the slices with the caramel.
  7. Preheat the pressure cooker with sufficient amount of water in the pan on medium heat for 15 mins. Pressure cooker should be heated without gasket and whistle.
  8. Grease the cake tin and place the caramelized apple slices in a pattern as required
  9. Pour the batter and tap twice. Garnish it with dry fruits.(optional)
  10. Place it in the preheated cooker and bake for 40 mins or until completely baked. Check it using toothpick.
  11. Allow the cake to cool for 30 minutes. Invert and allow to cool completely. Slice and serve
