Green Bhakarwadi

Ingredients to make Green Bhakarwadi

  • 1 cup maida
  • 4-5 boiled potatoes
  • 5 tbsp boiled matar
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 2 tbsp chopped green coriander
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • palak 1/2 cup
  • methi leaves 2 tbsp
  • pudina leaves 3 tbsp
  • Hara dhaniya 4 tbsp chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp arrowroot

How to make Green Bhakarwadi

  1. Grate the potatoes and keep it aside. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan
  2. Splutter cumin seeds. Add green chili and ginger. Saute for 1 minute. Simmer and add all spice powders, salt. Mix well. Now add boiled peas and saute for 1 minute
  3. Add grated potatoes and 2 tbsp green coriander leaves. Mix well
  4. Keep the filling aside
  5. Add maida ,salt , ajwain and 1 tbsp oil in a bowl and mix well
  6. Grind palak, methi, green coriander to smooth puree. Add ground puree to Flour mix and knead into smooth dough
  7. Divide dough into equal portions. Roll the balls into rotis. Add potato stuffing towards one end and roll the rotis
  8. Cut the rotis into pieces. Add arrowroot , water in a bowl and mix to form a smooth paste
  9. Coat Bhakarwadis with paste and deep fry over medium heat until golden brown
  10. Green bhakharwadi is ready to be served. Serve with tomato sauce
