Daliya is a very good source of daily reqirement of fibre and manganese. It absorbs slowly and manages Sugar level. It keeps your digestive tract healthy. And adding greens to it makes it healthier.
Can I add more veggies to make it more nutritious?
Super green n healthy
Wash and soak Daliya for half an hour.
Wash and chop all veggies
Pressure cook Daliya with salt , cloves and Cinnamon stick until done
Steam green peas until tender
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add green gram Sprouts and beans
Saute for half minute, add Capsicum and chopped onions. saute for 4-5 minutes
Add ginger, garlic and saute until raw aroma disappears
Add curry leaves and salt. Mix well
Add Spinach and green garlic . Mix well
Add garam masala, Spring onions and saute for half a minute and switch off. Add steamed peas and stir well
In a separate pan, heat 1/2 tsp oil and saute methi leaves with little salt for 2 minutes
Mix steamed Daliya with greens.
Cover and cook Daliya for 5 minutes over medium flame
Add ghee and mix well. Serve with soup or curd.
