ABOUT Soya Matar Sabji RECIPE

Very easy and simple sabji ,can be served with both rice and chappati.soya are highly rich in protine and peas are winters seasonable vege which enhance the flavour of sabji.Best substitute of potato.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large Onion , ground to paste
  2. 2 Big Tomatoes, pureed
  3. Peas 1 cup
  4. Soya chunks 1/2 cup
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  7. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  10. Kasuri Methi crushed 1 tsp
  11. Oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pan. Switch off. Add soya chunks and rest for 20 minutes. Drain and squeeze excess water
  2. Heat oil in a cooker
  3. Add onion paste and stir until brown. Add tomato puree and mix well for 1-2 minutes
  4. Add salt and all spice powders. Mix well
  5. Add adequate water , peas and crushed kasuri methi. Mix well. Pressure cook for 1 whistle
  6. Add soya chunks and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm
