Garden green Dhokla is a healthy steam dish.We can eat in snacks or breakfast.Dhokla is a very popular Gujarati dish ,i have given it a interesting twist by adding leafy vegetables.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For white Dhokla
  2. Chawli ki Dal-3/4 cup
  3. Fenugreek and dil leaves chopped-1/2cup
  4. Ginger and Green chilli paste-1tsp
  5. Oil-1tsp
  6. salt to Taste
  7. Soda-1/4 tsp
  8. For Green Dhokla
  9. Semolina-1/2cup
  10. curd 1/4cup
  11. Spinach and Chilli puree 1/4cup
  12. Oil 1tsp
  13. Soda-1/4tsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Tempering
  16. Oil 2tsp
  17. Sesame seeds 2 tsp
  18. Red chilli powder 1tsp

Instructions

  1. For White Dhokla
  2. Soak Dal overnight and grind it.
  3. Add leafy vegetables ,ginger chilly paste and salt.
  4. Mix salt and soda and pour little hot oil.
  5. Steam it in mini idly moulds for 10minutes
  6. Arrange them on skewers.
  7. ForGreen Dhokla
  8. Add curd ,spinach paste and enough water in Semolina.
  9. Make a smooth batter. Add salt soda and hot oil. Mix properly
  10. Steam it for 10-12 minutes in small idly moulds
  11. Tempering-Heat oil in pan and add Sesame seeds and chilli powder.put little water.pour it over dhoklas on skewers.
