Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Green Chutney
  2. 1 cup coriander leaves
  3. ½ cup mint leaves
  4. 2-3 garlic cloves
  5. 1/2 cup water
  6. 1 small inch ginger
  7. 1tsp chat masala
  8. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  9. pinch of hing
  10. 1/2 tsp sugar
  11. 3 green chillies
  12. 1tbsp lemon juice
  13. salt to taste
  14. For Dhokla
  15. 1.5 cups Poha
  16. 1 cup curd
  17. 3/4 cup water
  18. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  19. 1tbsp finely chopped green chillies
  20. 1/4 cup semolina
  21. 1tbsp oil
  22. 1tsp sugar
  23. salt to taste
  24. 1tbsp lemon juice
  25. For garnish
  26. 1tbsp white sesame
  27. 2tbsp oil
  28. 1/2 tsp hing
  29. 1tbsp mustard seeds
  30. 1-2 green chillies chopped
  31. 1tbsp freshly grated coconut
  32. chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Grind all ingredients mentioned under chutney list, keep scraping the sides while grinding. Keep it aside
  2. in a bowl, beat 1/2 cup curd, add little salt and mix well. Add poha and 1/2 cup water to curd. Mix well. Keep it aside
  3. Heat 1tbsp oil, add semolina and turmeric. Saute until rawa becomes fragrant.
  4. Beat remaining curd. Add poha and curd to semolina with 1/4 cup water and salt. Mix all ingredients well. Add green chillies,sugar and keep sauteing until the mixture completely leaves sides. Finally add lemon juice. Mix well and switch off
  5. Grease square pan, add dhokla to the pan and allow it to cool to set
  6. heat 2tbsp oil , add mustard seeds. Once mustard crackles, add hing. Switch off. Now add green chillies, sesame and mix well. Pour this mixture on set dhokla. Garnish with coconut and coriander leaves. Cut in squares and serve with green chutney
