Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Water... 3 cups
  2. Green tea leaves or kashmiri kahwa tea leaves... 1 pinch
  3. Seeds of green cardamom.. 1 or 2
  4. Fennel seeds... 1/2 tea spoon
  5. Cinnamon stick.. 1 small one
  6. Cloves... 2
  7. Saffron strands.. 4 or 5
  8. Rose petals... Dried or fresh.. Few
  9. Mint leaves... 1 or 2 sprigs
  10. Soda and salt... 1 pinch each
  11. Chopped almonds (optional)
  12. Honey.. If so desired

Instructions

  1. Boil water with fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves, half quantity of saffron, cardamom and let it boil till 2 cups water is left
  2. Add soda and salt and switch off the gas.
  3. Add tea leaves in this, add few rose petals and mint leaves and keep Covered for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Put few rose petals and balance saffron in the cup, add chopped almonds, if using and pass the tea from the tea strainer and enjoy herbal tea any time of the day
  5. You can enjoy twice or thrice in a day. Best time to have this is morning
  6. Any spice could be added or avoided, if so desired or as per individual choice or as per taste buds
  7. Sugar or honey could be added but without these in beneficial
