ABOUT Spicy Tangy Creamy Beetroot RECIPE

It's a high fibre recipe good for having in winter's during peak winter time, rich in potassium & mineral.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Beetroot 500gm
  2. Salt according to taste
  3. Red chilli spice powder 1teaspoon
  4. Cumin seeds roasted 1/4teaspoon
  5. Black pepper whole roasted 1/4teaspoon
  6. Cinnamon stick 1" roasted
  7. Fenugreek seeds roasted 1/4teaspoon
  8. Coriander seeds roasted 1/4teaspoon
  9. Amul fresh cream for garnishing
  10. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  11. Ginger paste 1/4teaspoon
  12. Garlic paste 1/4teaspoon
  13. Brown sugar 1/4teaspoon
  14. Vegetable Oil 5-6 tablespoons


  1. Take a wok or pan as shown in picture, add oil heat well add beetroot keep on sim flame for few minutes
  2. After few minutes add all the dry roasted spices i.e roasted cumin, roasted coriander seeds, roasted whole black pepper seeds, roasted fenugreek seeds & roasted cinnamon along with salt and red chillie powder as shown in picture
  3. Now close the lid of pan for few minutes so that vegetable gets soft & tender as shown in picture
  4. Now open the lid, stir well add brown sugar and again mix well , keep on sim flame for about 1-2min so that sugar gets melted and vegetable becomes brown in colour, at this time add coriander leaves also, as shown in picture
  5. Now lastly add amul fresh cream to it so that the dish look perfect creamy buttery, as shown in picture
  6. Lastly the dish is ready and here is the picture in my hands, serve hot
