ABOUT Green Peppercorn and Spinach Soup RECIPE

Peppercorns are the fruits of Piper nigrum. Green peppercorn and spinach soup gives a exoric taste in chilled winter.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green peppercorns 8 to 10
  2. Spinach 1 bunch
  3. Salt
  4. Butter 1 tbs
  5. Wheat flour 2 tsp
  6. Sweet corn 50 gm
  7. Onion 1 small

Instructions

  1. Take 1/2 tbs of butter heat in a saucepan. Add chopped onion cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add chopped spinach and 8 to 10 green peppercorns, cook for 3 to 4 minutes add 2 cups of water. Cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the gas bring to roo temperature.
  3. Take 1/2 tbs of butter heat it cook 2 tsp of wheat flour till it turns to pink.
  4. Roast sweet corn in pan with 1/2 tsp of butter until it starts cracking.
  5. Grind the spinach mixture and above wheat flour in fine paste .
  6. Pour soup in saucepan add salt cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Hot and spicy green peppercorn and spinach soup is ready to serve. Add the roasted sweet corn. If you want to more punch of spices add 2 to 3 green peppercorns in hot soup.
