ABOUT SPICY BROWN CHICPEA AND PUMPKIN SALAD. RECIPE

This is a healthy salad and can consume it even with rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Brown chicpea 1/2cup
  2. Pumpkin cubes1/4cup
  3. Red chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon
  4. Jeera powder 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Onion 1
  6. Mustard seed 1 teaspoon
  7. Oil 2 teaspoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Coriander leaves for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpea overnight.
  2. Boil chickpea for ten minutes.
  3. Separately boil pumpkin.
  4. Add oil in a wok and add mustard seed. Let it splutter.
  5. Add onion to it. Saute well.
  6. Add chilli powder and salt.
  7. Add chickpea and pumpkin to it.
  8. Sprinkle little water.
  9. Cover with a lid and let it evenly cook for ten minutes.
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  11. Spicy brown chickpea and pumpkin salad is ready to consume plainly or with rotis.
