Instant Carrot Pickle

Ingredients to make Instant Carrot Pickle

  • carrots - 5-6 (thin ones)
  • salt - 1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Coarsely ground mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Deggi mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • asafoetida (Hing) - 1/8 teaspoon
  • lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • mustard Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • fennel seeds powder- 1/2 tsp

How to make Instant Carrot Pickle

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP MUSTARD OIL TO THE SMOKE POINT
  2. ADD PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA
  3. ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND LET IT SPLUTTER
  4. ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS POWDER, 1/4 TSP TURMERIC AND 1 TSP DEGGI MIRCH
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP FENNEL POWDER, 1 TSP SALT. SAUTE FOR FEW SECONDS
  6. ADD 5 THINLY SLICED CARROTS AND 2 GREEN CHILLI. OFF THE FLAME AND MIX WELL.
  7. WHEN IT COOLS DOWN, ADD 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
