ABOUT HUMMUS WITH PITA POCKETS RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup grated carrot
  2. 1 cup grated paneer
  3. 1 grated broccoli
  4. 1/2 cup blanched spinach
  5. 4 cup boiled chick peas
  6. 1 cup bread crumbs
  7. 1 cup spring onions
  8. green chill (as per taste)
  9. salt (as per taste)
  10. 1.5 tsp coriander powder
  11. olive oil for frying
  12. for humus : 2 tsp sesame seeds
  13. 2 tsp lemon juice
  14. 2 tsp chopped garlic
  15. 1 tsp red chili powder
  16. 2 tsp parsley

Instructions

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil them the next morning, now grind the chickpeas into a blender until it becomes a fairly smooth paste and keep it aside.
  2. For Tahini:- Roast 2 tb sp sesame seed in a pan. Be careful as sesame seeds burn very easily. Cool it for 5 minutes and add in a grinder with 3 tb sp olive oil.
  3. Process the mixture into a paste, Add more olive oil until reach the desired consistency. Now Add lemon juice and add it to the bowl of blended chickpea paste. Add in the tahini, season with salt and
  4. For croquettes:- mash grated carrot, grated paneer, grated broccoli, finely chopped spring onions, blanched spinach and soaked nutrela granules, finely chopped green chili, grated garlic and add grated bread crumbs and make a dough.
  5. Then divide into 5 and mould into cylinder shapes. Sprinkle the oatmeal onto a large plate and roll each croquette in it to evenly coat.
  6. Heat a little oil in a large frying pan and fry the croquettes for 5 minutes, turning occasionally until golden.
  7. For garnishing: Cut red and yellow bell peppers.
  8. Final Step: Insert the croquettes in the pita pocket and garnish it with red and yellow bells and serve it with hummus.
