ABOUT Moong sprouts & cheese cottage tortilla RECIPE

Generally tortilla is made by frying. But today I have made on nonstick pan considering health. These tortillas are healthy, nutritious & easy to make. Rich in fiber, vitamins & protein.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For tortilla :
  2. 3/4 cup maize flour
  3. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  4. 1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
  5. 1/2 tsp oregano
  6. to taste Salt
  7. 2 tsp oil
  8. Oil for drizzling
  9. For toppings :
  10. 1 cup Moong sprouts
  11. 100 gm cottage cheese cut in small cubes (paneer)
  12. 1 Cucumber chopped
  13. 1 tomato chopped
  14. 1 onion finely chopped (optional)
  15. 2-3 finely chopped green chillies
  16. For dressing :
  17. 2-3 tbsp tomato sauce
  18. 1 lemon juice
  19. 2 tsp olive oil
  20. 1/2 tsp Oregano
  21. to taste Salt
  22. To taste Black pepper
  23. For garnish :
  24. 1/4 cup hung curd or sour cream
  25. as needed coriander Leaves
  26. as needed Cottage cheese cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add Lukewarm water & knead soft dough. Keep rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide equal portions of dough. (lemon size balls).
  4. Dust dry wheat flour On surface. Flatten tortilla mini rounds with roller pin. Or roll it in two plastic sheets. Prick them with fork.
  5. Heat nonstick pan. Place these tortilla on pan. Drizzle few drops of oil. Roast both sides on slow to medium flame until light brown
  6. Tortilla are ready.
  7. Mix all ingredients of salsa toppings in a mixing bowl. Mix all properly. In a separate bowl mix dressing ingredients. Mix all. Add it in a topping mix. Combine together.
  8. Arrange the tortillas in a serving tray. Place 2 tbsp of toppings on each tortilla. Garnish with sour cream or hung curd & coriander Leaves.
